McCauley, Hankins, Hopkins & Taylor Families

Rhoda Ann Lavender married Stephen Bradford Lair 25 Aug 1829 in Lincoln County,
Kentucky. They had 2 sons (Jerome Burke and William Thomas) and Stephen died before
1839. Rhoda married Thomas Ramsey, Jr. 20 Jan 1839 (also in Lincoln County). Rhoda
and Thomas lived in Rockcastle County, Kentucky and had 3 children (Margaret E., Joseph
Love and Harriett L.). Rhoda apparently died before 1850.

Rhoda's father was John Lavender and she had 4 siblings (Joseph, Elizabeth Jane, Allen
and Amelia). Amelia married Edward Syria in 1821 in Lincoln County. A John Lavender
married Nancy Tudor 28 Apr 1837 in Lincoln County but it is unclear if that was the same
John Lavender. If it was the same John, then Nancy Tudor could not have been the
mother of Rhoda or Amelia (as both were married in the 1820's) and she probably wasn't
the mother of the other Lavender children. Nothing else is known about the family
including the name of Rhoda's mother.
