Jackson household, Meriwether County, Georgia: Samuel was head of a household consisting of 1 m <5 [Lee]. 1 m 5-10 [John], 1 m 30-40 [Samuel], 1 f 5-10 [unknown], 1 f 10-15 [Charlotte], 1 f 20-30 [Lavinia]. It appears there was another daughter who has not been identified. ³⁷²⁰

Jackson household, Heard County, Georgia: Sam was head of a household containing 1 m 5-10, 1 m 10-15, 1 m 15-20, 1 f <5. 1 f 5-10, 1 f 10-15, 1 f 15-20, 1 f 20-30, 1 f 30-40. The specific household members are not clear. Apparently, Sam was not listed as he would have been between 40-50 in 1840. ⁴¹⁸³

Samuel was listed as a carpenter, age 53, born in North Carolina. He owned real estate valued at $500 and it was noted that he could not read and write. ⁴¹⁸¹

• 1860 United States Federal Census, Samuel W. Jackson household, Heard County, Georgia: Samuel, Lavinia and their daughter, Amanda were living together. Their daughter, Charity, and son, John, were living nearby. Samuel was listed as a farmer, age 64, born in North Carolina. He owned real estate valued at $400 and personal property valued at $800. He could not read or write. ⁴¹⁸⁴

Samuel married Lavinia MALONE, daughter of John MALONE and Gracie EAVES.⁴¹⁸⁰ (Lavinia MALONE was born ca 1801 in Rutherford County, North Carolina ^4181,4185 and died ca 1863 ⁴¹⁸⁰.)
