More Information: • 1810 Not Found in Census: James was probably living in Georgia in the area of Old Randolph County but the 1790 - 1810 Georgia Census was burned by the British during the War of 1812. • 1820 United States Federal Census, James Lanier household, Jasper County, Georgia: James was head of a household consisting of 1 m under 10 [William], 1 m 16-18 [unknown], 1 m 26-45 [James], 4 f under 10 [Cynthia, Frances, Nancy, Mary], 1 f 26-45 [Polly]. 3709 • 1830 United States Federal Census, James Lanier household, Meriwether County, Georgia: James was head of a household consisting of 1 m <5 [James], 2 m 5-10 [unknown], 1 m 15-20 [William] 1 m 40-50 [James], 1 f < 5 [Mary (although she was probably older than 5)], 1 f 10-15 {Nancy], 2 f 15-20 [Cynthia, Frances], 1 f 30-40 [Polly]. 3710 • 1850 United States Federal Census, James Lanier household, Meriwether County, Georgia: James, Polly and were living with children: Sintha (identity is in question as there was an older daughter named Cynthia), Nancy and John Henry along with Nancy's children Martha and William Bryant. James was listed as a farmer, age 65, born in North Carolina. 4057 James married Polly SMITH on 29 July 1810 in Randolph County (old), Georgia 4055.,4056 (Polly SMITH was born ca. 1793 in North Carolina 4056 and died bet. 1860 and 1870 4056.)
