She appears to be listed as Sally Bennett, niece/daughter, age 6, born May 1894 in Mississippi. [Later information indicates that Sallie was in fact the daughter of Joseph & Nancy Lanier.] ¹⁵²⁴

• 1910 United States Federal Census, Jesse H. Walls household, 9 Carroll Pl, Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia: Sallie and her daughter, Dorothy Louise, were living with her sister, Lillie Walls. She was listed as Sallie Dil [sic], sister-in-law, age 22, born in Georgia, married 4 years, mother of one child, working as a spinner in a cotton mill. ³⁶⁴⁷
