She was listed as Lulie Lanier, age 4 months, born in January in Alabama. 3636 • 1880 United States Federal Census, Joseph Lanier household, Rock Mills, Randolph County, Alabama: Lula was living with her parents. She was listed as Louisana Lanier, daughter, age 10, born in Alabama. 1526 • 1900 United States Federal Census, Joseph Lanier household, Muldon, Monroe County, Mississippi: Lula was living with her parents. She was listed as Lula Lanier, daughter, age 31, widow, born Jan 1869, working as a farm laborer. According to the 1870 census, Lula was just a few months old and was born in Jan 1870. [It's possible that Lula was not actually living with her parents at this time. She may have been married and living elsewhere but that has not been determined.] |
