Bill's mother & father divorced when he was very young. His mother later moved to Kansas (sometime after 1900 as they were living with her parents, Fieldon & Jane Warren in Rockcastle County in that census). In addition to Bill & his mother, Fannie, Fannie's parents, one brother and 2 sisters & their families also moved to Kansas. Bill's mother re-married (to Jerry Logsdon) and had 2 other sons (Oscar and Herman). Census records for 1910, 1920 & 1930, show Bill living in Leveanworth County, Kansas.

He was listed as William Taylor, step son, age 14, born in Kentucky. Other household members were Logsdon's sons, Virgil (age 10) and Logan (age 8). 415

• Physical Description: In his WW I draft registration, Bill was described as tall with medium build, blue eyes and dark brown hair. 3
