More Information: • Namesake: Berry was named for his mother's half brother, Newberry "Berry" Howard. He was called Berry by his parents and siblings but went by Leo in Michigan. • 1900 Not Found in Census: Berry would have been 2 years old but was not listed with his parents. He was apparently left out by mistake as he is included in the count of living children for his mother.
